Becoming a foster parent in Nevada means providing a safe, temporary home to a child who has been removed from their own family. Among the requirements to meet: completing approved training that includes basic first aid and CPR, and keeping that certification current.

急救要求

Under the Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 424), applicants for a license to operate a foster home must complete training approved by the child-welfare agency that includes basic first aid, including training in the administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It ensures caregivers can respond to emergencies for children of all ages.

Licensed foster caregivers must maintain current CPR/AED and first-aid certification from a recognized organization, renewed every two years. This is recognized by the Division of Child and Family Services and the county child-welfare agencies, and stands in addition to the home study and the assessment of parenting suitability.
